The Studio, The Label and Me, told by them

Im a dream weaver, a creative scientist that uses tools to shape sound to convey messages, I cultivate, nurture and fabricate sound to speak to people. I deal with a lot of perspectives, and I love it...as a producer/engineer my role is to manage perspectives and present it in a fashion that inspires, edifies and entertains.

I find that the older I get, the harder to receive I compliments.  I would love for someone to tell me why I struggle with it, as I feel that answers may make my role in the creative music process easier.  Don't get me wrong, compliments are as valuable to me as constructive criticism, only difference is that praise is pretty distracting to hear personally.  Perhaps, I am in the wrong career, in a world saturated in opinions. Im a dream weaver, a creative scientist that uses tools to shape sound to convey messages, I cultivate, nurture and fabricate sound to speak to people.  I deal with a lot of perspectives, and I love it...as a producer engineer my role is to manage perspectives and present it in a fashion that inspires, edifies and entertains.  So what is my problem with compliments...this dream weaver gets stuck in the web of seeking fault in his craft.  To me, my work is never good enough...however having said all that, thank you for your appreciation, I received a lot of compliments after the Voyage Houston article was posted...my supporters stop me from burying my head in the sand.

I was interviewed by Voyage Houston earlier this month as they introduce me and my creative business ToneCrafters to Houston, my second city.  I was not prepared for the reaction that followed and realized pretty quickly that when I talk about myself I have a habit of glances over details that you may find interesting. So I encourage you to read this article to plug in the gaps lol.
