Bringing Country Black with Coffey Anderson

Ok, I admit it, Im a horrible blog writer.  There I said it...and I'm not even going to ask for forgiveness.  My only hope at this point is to make it up in great music with my brilliant friends! So here we go with a monster album released today by Coffey Anderson, Cowboy Style

The Initial aim was to give you insights into my world, buuuuuut, let's face it, life as a producer, tracking, mixing and mastering engineer is kinda rough on the social life.  But Don't feel sorry for me, I love what I do and do what I love. Late nights, long lonely mix sessions, time away from the family...ok that part aint so cool.  But it puts food on the table and you know Im all about good food.

Now what's really fun is a black country star working with a black mix/master engineer, that was a stereotype that needed to be broken and I did the most country song on the album! - Calvin "FOOD" Venus
Coffeey Anderson

So Im pleased to announce that country music rising star Coffey Anderson has released an incredible album and I have mix and mastering credits on this beast with the song Cerveza and for the parts of the future smash Memorial Day.  Im honored to be even considered, to be fair, because I know he had some of Nashville's finest studios and engineers involved...then there is little ol me!  Some of the tracks I worked on are not featured on this album, but the one I got is a genuine honky tonk line dancing smash

Now what's really fun is a black country star working with a black mix/master engineer, that was a stereotype that needed to be broken and I did the most country song on the album!

...and what's REALLY REALLY cool is where he debuted... #2 on iTunes music chart and #14 in worldwide album chart.  No label, no management and no team!!!  Go check it out.

So Ive been praying I get more after this,

[que the shameless plug]

...so if you are reading this and you got mad skills and need an engineer that can hang with the best of them, then holler at ya boy lol (and then forgive me).

Back to work I go.

Grace and Peace
